Getting Your Dog Spayed

This is more about after your dogs miserable trip to the vet ; The stitch's will look very nasty, your dog may try to lick them, you should try to prevent her because licking the stitch's can lead to a abscess which honestly is not that bad, but that can lead to her trying to bite at them. One thing it to try to keep them from jumping on you, your vet probably told you this, but I find that turning the whole thing into a training session works, like saying : "Oh! off, oh off GOOD!" Good Luck!

P.S. Your dog will be a miserable dopey slobbering mess, and even if they don't want to eat or drink when they get home, don't force them, but if they aren't drinking the next day make them drink, but in a pleasant offering way, and splash a little water on their lips.

Cleaning Your Dogs Ears

  • If your dog’s inner ears appear dirty, clean them with a cotton ball, or folded up tissue dampened with mineral oil, hydrogen peroxide or a solution formulated specifically for this purpose. Inner-ear skin is delicate, so be carefull and very gentle.
  • Do not clean your dog’s ears so frequently or deeply as to cause irritation, and take care to NEVER insert anything into your dog’s ear canal.
  • If your dog sprouts hair from his ear canal, you or your groomer may have to tweeze it out every few weeks to prevent problematic mats and tangles from forming. Please discuss with your vet whether this is necessary for your dog.
  • What you need:

  •                                               I use Hydrogen Peroxide, an a Tissue.

    Training Treats

I like to use lowfat cooked hot dogs as my treats, I cut them into tiny peaces with a knife :

I use BAR S jumbo turkey flavor Franks.
